Hrustalnoe Estate

Усадьба Хрустальное
Some people have cared for personal space ingrained in their DNA. They master gardens filled with elements you never knew existed and welcome everyone who collects botanical species and experiences.

The owner was always rethinking his original plan for this garden. He got to know his garden better, falling in love with it more and more season after season. He usually starts his mornings with a short stroll to set his mind on a new day, to contemplate, to see improvements, and to imagine new ones.

Over time, the very essence of the landscape brief changed entirely, moving away from a contemporary country home for the family and towards a tactile, story-rich space filled with a rich tapestry of plants and the special feelings they conjure.

The garden has always been of paramount importance there, so we decided to arrange the buildings angle-wise even during the architectural design. The center was kept free to create a classic Scandinavian garden® — a sensory space that moves you through different moods, offering both inspiration and a deep sense of harmony.

This landscape features local plants and unique exotics. They were carefully selected to avoid endangering their surroundings. Thus, through a collector, we found a suitable beech grown in the northwest. We brought in the adapted island Dodong Korean Mountain Ash, with its incredibly vivid red leaves, all the way from Sweden.

A sunlit grass crashes into a dark forest. Brutal boulders — with a weightless cloud of herbs. Not only do flowers give color. The garden is also lovely in the fall with the new palette of ochre, brown, yellow branches and roots, pine needles and capsules, stones and earth.
