For the landscape design of the Ranta residential complex, we combined the resort significance of Zelenogorsk with elements inspired by nature and the shore of the Gulf of Finland. We added landscaping with bionic forms, mixed it with modern landscape solutions, and flavored it with technologies that make life in the neighborhood more comfortable.
It was important for us to create an identity for the place. That is, something through which a resident of the complex can answer the question: «Where do I live?». We consider this important because in modern realities, a lot of housing is being built, but not each of them is created with love, attention, and its own distinctive features. Finding them and implementing solutions was our big task.
At the core of the concept, we use the silhouette of lines, a kind of image of a wave from the Gulf of Finland entering the residential complex. This creates a flowing structure that has not lost its functional convenience. Each block can be accessed by car, and the territory includes a concert area, a zone for sports and children's games, a community garden, an art alley with pavilions for recreation and barbecue, as well as an arch leading to the forest. All these elements are united through plastic and elegant lines that soften the strictness of architectural elements. Small architectural forms are selected in the style of modern art deco with a reference to the ideas of Finnish architect Alvar Aalto and strive for Scandinavian minimalism, which is necessary here. Among the innovative technologies are benches with heating and infrared lamps for heating specific areas.
A rare feature for developers that will be implemented in this complex is the provision of sustainable landscaping, sustainable green, where the landscaping is not low-maintenance and needs constant human care.
