In this project, we abandoned conventional landscape concepts and created the antithesis of site development — a natural setting in a cosmopolitan city.
Fairy tales and escapism are two new themes that this Scandinavian garden satisfies. Upon entering the garden, one attains a state of self-harmony.
For the inner area, we focused on creating a natural and vibrant atmosphere. We involved a range of groundcover plants instead of a standard lawn and established a carefully designed plant ecosystem. This is a true forest gem, as residents can see balsam fir, Dutch elm, three kinds of maple, juniper, pine, and spruce right on their home's grounds.
With height variations of up to two meters, the unusual terrain offered the primary opportunity for creativity. We chose to experiment with this by strengthening the structure of the courtyard with a substantial quantity of stones, totaling more than 140 tons in weight. They added a unique character and emphasized this relief.
We also created a distinctive lighting concept called a "firefly garden". These flickering lights among the plants create a cozy and mysterious atmosphere in the yard at night. The fairytale-like ambiance will be experienced in the courtyard and when looking out of the apartment windows.
