The garden is a place for connection across generations — a space where different times and values find common ground. Together they become part of something greater.
In this project, we set aside conventional landscape thinking and did the opposite of typical site development — bringing a natural setting into the heart of a cosmopolitan city.
This Scandinavian garden® explores two new themes: fairytale wonder and escapism. Stepping into the garden brings a sense of inner harmony.
For the inner area, we focused on creating a natural and vibrant atmosphere. We involved a range of groundcover plants instead of a standard lawn and established a carefully designed plant ecosystem. This is a true forest gem, as residents can see Balsam Fir, Dutch Elm, three kinds of maple, juniper, pine, and spruce right on their home's grounds.
The unusual terrain, with height changes of up to two meters, became our biggest creative opportunity. We experimented by reinforcing the courtyard's structure with over 140 tons of stone. They added a unique character and emphasized this relief.
We also dreamed up a unique lighting design we call the 'Firefly Garden.' It's become our signature move — and it's been delighting clients for years now. These flickering lights among the plants create a cozy and mysterious atmosphere in the yard at night. This way, the enchanting quality of the garden will be felt not just in the courtyard, but from inside the homes — with every glance out the window.
