'A City for Living' is a new era in landscape design: comfort for everyone, quality redefined.

In the very heart of the capital, at the intersection of new neighborhoods, a large-scale urban transformation is unfolding: one worthy of a true city-building revolution. On 32 hectares of former industrial land, a contemporary environment is emerging — one where people come first.

This is a pilot project setting new standards of urban amenities for the entire Moscow. At the initiative of the Government, an entire district is being transformed into a living laboratory, where new, people-centered solutions are tested and implemented, all focused on quality of life, ecology, and advanced technology.

The concept: air and atmosphere. We design for a sense of freedom and inner peace — harmony with yourself and the surroundings — even in the heart of a dense urban development.

A unified design code brings together all the diversity of the territory: from boulevards and bike lanes to public transport stops and hidden infrastructure. Large beige pavers catch the light with brass inlays, like the last warm glow of sunset brushing across the city streets. Green-roofed pavilions become part of the landscape, adding a new dimension: living trees grow atop them, bringing nature back into the urban environment Heated 'smart' bus stops with charging ports offer a moment of respite within the urban rush. Parametric structures wrapped in plants soften the starkness of the architecture with a living texture. All this contributes a contemporary European city of a new format. We are bringing a level of design once reserved for premium residential complexes into the public realm, for everyone to enjoy.

Here, landscaping serves a crucial role: it shields the space from noise, dust, and exhaust fumes, separates traffic from pedestrian flows, and creates secluded green islands right in the heart of the metropolis. Selecting the right plants was key. We chose large, resilient trees and shrubs: tough enough to handle city smoke, de-icing salt, and the coldest months. We've reduced lawns in favor of perennials and shrubs, allowing the city to reclaim a more natural, vibrant identity. Four types of landscaping are adapted to different conditions, from sunny areas remote from the road to shady ones adjacent to the roadway.

Even the infrastructure — air vents, information screens, waste bins — is woven into the visual harmony with painstaking care. LED columns replace traditional billboards at intersections, while designer swings and benches encourage people to pause and unwind.

The project was developed in close cooperation with the State Budgetary Institution 'Avtomobilnye Dorogi': they are the ones who will operate and care for this space, becoming its true guardians. This required striking a balance between ambitious design and practicality, between aesthetics and longevity.

'A City for Living' is bold enough to change things. The city is no longer just a backdrop; it's now part of everyday life itself. Quality isn't measured in square meters or density — but in how people feel, their freedom to be feeling the moment, and the possibility of nature at the city's core.
